Percy Jackson has always felt out of place. His mum only wants him to feel safe and be happy; however, it’s not always easy. Percy has had an awful life until he discovers that he is part god! He is taken away to Camp Half-Blood where he learns to fight, waiting for a god to claim him as their son.

I loved how this book was something different to what I normally read: It was exciting and I just could not wait to see what would happen next.

I would compare this book to Keeper Of The Lost Cities by Shannon Messenger, because in both books the main characters discover that they are not where they belong but there is somewhere where everyone is like them.

Anyone who enjoys fiction books with magic and powers will love Percy Jackson.
