The Jewel is the first book of an action-packed trilogy, full of heart-wrenching tension, hot romance and harsh betrayal. Violet is a young adult born in the Marsh, destined to become someone’s property, sold.
She finds out dark secrets about royal life while living with her owner, the Duchess of the Lake. Slowly, she endures cruelty, pain, and hatred. Finally, she’s had enough.
The thing I enjoyed most about the book was the tension and action in it. I don’t have any other books to compare it to.
I recommend The Jewel to readers who love intense romance and action and are willing to be fully committed to reading all three books because the books just get better and better from here!
