Rainbow Street is a fantastic book for young readers. Its simple, yet important, moral of inclusion mixed with with Kelly Canby’s excellent illustrations is what makes this book unique. Kids will read this book and be blown away, while learning more about inclusion. R.W.R. McDonald has definitely done his research about other cultures, as there were so many! There is just one small issue, that being there is no problem or setback in the plot. However, I think it’s not that important, as the rest of the book makes up for it. My rating? 4.5/5. Final. Rainbow Street has definitely exceeded my expectations by a mile.
