Sixteen-year-old Gemma is kidnapped from Bangkok airport and taken to the Australian Outback. This wild and desolate landscape becomes almost a character in the book, so vividly is it described. Ty, her captor, is no stereotype. He is young, fit and completely gorgeous. This new life in the wilderness has been years in the planning. He loves only her, wants only her. Under the hot glare of the Australian sun, cut off from the world…

This book is about a girl named Gemma who has been stalked her whole life by a man named Ty. Ty has always felt like Gemma was the perfect one for him. One day, in London airport, Gemma sees a familiar face, as if she’s seen him many times before and they went on the same flight to Bangkok airport. But then, in a flash, she was taken, to an unknown and unpopular place, aka the outback. She was taken from everything she knew, everything she loved, the only thing she could see was red dirt, rocks, little sheds and Ty. This book really hooked me as soon as I started, I absolutely could not put it down. It was really intense, especially after all the times she attempted to escape but got caught. I really like how the author made the storyline, how the characters developed in the book and the intensity of the story. My favourite part was probably towards the end, where Ty becomes a good and better person and how emotional it gets. Overall, I absolutely loved this book and to be completely honest, it was my most favourite book I’ve ever read. I definitely give this 5 stars.
