When Jackdaw Hollow is the only survivor of a lightning strike, he searches for the reason why he survived. As he does, he befriends Angeline, a wildling girl who knows where her destiny lies – the circus, who might help him in his quest.
This novel is an impressive masterpiece; one of the best I’ve ever read. My most favourite part is when Jackdaw dresses up as a cat with a jar of treacle in his attempts to supposedly rescue Angeline. The reason I like this book is that it is a tale of destiny, self-worth and accepting that if you love something, you must set it free. If I were to recommend this book, I would gladly agree. This book is certainly suitable and appropriate for all age groups.
