Fifteen-year-old Morgan has a secret: She can't wait to escape the perfect little island where she lives. She's desperate to finish high school and escape her sad divorced mother, her volatile little brother, and worst of all, her great group of friends...who don't understand Morgan at all. Because really, Morgan's biggest secret is that she has a lot of secrets, including the one about wanting to kiss another girl. Then one night, Morgan is saved…

The Girl from the Sea by Molly Knox Ostertag is possibly one of the best books I’ve ever read! I really enjoyed how it included LGBTQIA+ representation by making the main characters Keltie and Morgan lesbian lovers. Morgan is a girl who believes she must hide her true personality, and the fact that she is also part of the LGBTQIA+ community, from her friends and family. When she meets Keltie, she starts to see that she doesn’t need to hide who she really is.

This book is a fantasy Graphic-Novel with beautiful illustrations such as the amazing island where Morgan lives. I would recommend this book for ages 12-16 years. I would also recommend this book to anyone in the LGBTQIA+ community. I give this amazing book a 5/5-star review.
