This book is set in a supernatural world where everyone has superpowers called “quirks”. A 16-year-old boy named Izuku Midoriya appears quirk-less, however, he has been passed down the quirk of the number one hero All Might, becoming his successor. This novel is about Izuku’s adventures with his friends in UA High School.

This novel is a very upbeat, captivating, and joyous read. The main character is an average-looking kid. He is anxious, easily flustered and a kind friend to his classmates. There is a wide spread of characters, from short and whiny Minoru Mineta, tall and responsible Momo Yoayorozu and short-tempered Kastuki Bakugo. The pace of the book is perfect. Overall, this is a great read for middle school students.
